About This Course

Course Description: The concepts studied in plane trigonometry allows an individual to develop a deeper understanding of mathematics. Throughout this course, students will develop their critical thinking skills as they demonstrate an ability to analyze and devise solutions to problems relevant to this level of mathematics. In this course, students will become familiar with the basic properties of trigonometric functions and discover how these properties are interrelated. Students will study in detail different types of angles, the unit circle, graphing techniques, the Laws of Sine, the Laws of Cosine, in addition to exploring various trigonometric identities. Students will be able to identify basic trigonometric properties and become familiar with various trigonometric applications. A focus of this course is to help students to become better problem solvers by utilizing trigonometric relationships.
