Course Description: This course focuses on developing a solid foundation of algebra thought.
One of the key characteristics of success in mathematics is learning how to find solutions when answers are not provided; in other words, learning how to problem-solve questions. In this course, you will build upon the concepts found in Fundamentals as you learn how to solve problems algebraically and geometrically.
Topics in this course include an introduction to the real number system, solving numerical and symbolical linear equations, factoring polynomials, solving inequalities, linear functions, systems of equations and inequalities, solving exponential equations, and solving radical equations. There will also be an emphasis on both factoring and graphing quadratic polynomials.
