About This Course

Course Description: This course is designed for those planning to study calculus. This course will develop and strengthen your critical thinking skills, allowing you to handle the algebraic rigors of calculus. The topics in this course include those found in college algebra and trigonometry and additional advanced topics.

In this course, students will become familiar with various functions, function composition, inverse functions, the Binomial Theorem, and become proficient with various strategies for solving equations involving polynomials, rational functions, radicals, logarithms, and exponentials. Algebraic skills and manipulation of equations are emphasized in this course.

In the second part of the course, students will learn about trigonometric functions, their trigonometric identities, and some of their applications. This course will also discuss the topics of polar coordinates, parametric equations, and conics.
