Fundamentals

Course Description: This course reviews fundamental mathematical concepts and techniques. 

The emphasis of this course is to establish a foundation of basic arithmetic techniques and manipulative skills. This course is designed to help strengthen and build the necessary skill-set to be successful in Algebra 1. 

By the end of the course, students will be able to demonstrate proficiency in basic arithmetic operations, including fractions, decimals, ratios, and proportions. Students will also learn sufficient critical-thinking skills to manipulate algebraic expressions, solve one-step equations, finding solutions for inequalities, and factoring polynomials.
